With the increasingly legalized status and social acceptance of all kinds of cannabis products in recent years, CBD has been exploding as a product category. This year there are more new CBD products than ever. Here are the top ten new CBD products for 2018:
1. Chong's Choice CBD
The man, the legend Tommy Chong (of Cheech and Chong fame) recently released a premium line of CBD cannabis products called 'Chong's Choice CBD.' With everything from gummy bears to oils, the line runs the gamut and is a high-quality, potent product for the experienced CBD user. The line is sold by Diamond CBD. If you're up for having a little or a lot of THC too, Tommy also sells full cannabis versions of 'Chongs Choice.' Check out his site for a list of participating retailers.
2. Diamond CBD's Full Spectrum CBD
There is CBD isolate, and then there is full spectrum CBD, a product which contains all of the other cannabinoid compounds of the cannabis plant. This is CBD that packs a wallop. Diamond CBD sells a brand new line over at their website.
3. Long Trail's Medicator Beer
If you happen to be in the ski resort town of Killington, Vermont, check out the newest CBD beer to hit the block, Long Trail Brewery's Medicator Beer, which is infused with CBD. And being infused with CBD instead of full cannabis makes it, arguably, somewhat safer to hit the slopes after having a bottle. Long Trail is also known for their honey CBD beer.
No, you would not want to go skiing drunk (well, maybe you would, but that does not mean you should!), but did anybody ever stop anybody from hitting the slopes after just one beer? Well, this hybrid IPA/Pale Ale with CBD at least will not make it any more dangerous. It might make you a little braver though. Plus, Vermont's little mountains are a whole lot safer than those big ones in the Rockies. 'Medicator' was recently featured in the Burlington Free Press.
4. Cibaderm CBD Shampoo
Apparently, CBD is good for your hair, protecting you from dry and brittle hair and of course, because CBD is also so good for your skin, an icky scalp underneath it all. If you are a fan, one of the most highly recommended new shampoos (and this is straight from High Times) is Cibaderm CBD shampoo. Plus, it does not contain any parabens or sulfates, so quality-wise it is right up there with decent salon shampoo, and not that junk in the drug store.
5. WillPower ReGen
WillPower ReGen is a sports protein powder that contains CBD. Yes, you can bulk up and get your chill on.
6. Kiva Ginger Dark Chocolate Bar
Who does not love dark chocolate, and ginger, and CBD, and hell, THC? Well, this is the magic combination. The Kiva Dark Chocolate Bar contains 30mg of CBD and 30mg of THC. Okay, okay, it is not CBD only, but sometimes CBD needs a little help, and a trip to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory might just do the trick.
7. CBD Cream
The New York Times recently printed a big piece on the many uses of CBD in beauty care, and one of their highlights was CBD cream. Here is one of our favorites, from CBD seller Diamond CBD. It cools, it sooths, and it is fabulous at taking care of that joint pain.
8. Al Harrington's New Line of CBD Pain Relieving Products
Merry Jane recently reported on NBA player Al Harrington's brand new line of CBD pain relief products, and frankly, we're psyched.
Retired NBA baller Al Harrington is continuing his transition from the hardwood to the dispensary by starting a brand of industrial hemp-based CBD products for the athlete in all of us.Since discovering the wonders of CBD during treatment for a botched knee surgery while playing for the Denver Nuggets in 2011, Harrington has kicked a seven-year addiction to anti-inflammatories and lead the charge for cannabis reform in the NBA. Now, he's trading his sneakers for work boots and joining Colorado's legal weed green rush with Viola Extracts, a cannabis concentrate company named after his grandmother, and Harrington Wellness, a brand of CBD pain relief products.
9. Sacred Biology Deodorant
The brand new Sacred Biology Stick Deodorant contains—in addition to CBD—mineral clays, vegetable powders, and essential oils, and no artificial chemicals or additives (not even aluminum, which is the main ingredient in most of the effective antiperspirants) so if you live in a tropical climate or tend to perspire a lot, this may not be for you. Nonetheless, it is an intriguing new way of using CBD.
10. Mary's Medicinal Transdermal Patches
You have heard of nicotine patches, but how about CBD patches? These are a way to easily and accurately control the dosage of CBD without having to consume or ingest anything. Just slap it on and forget it! Or try the THC variant and you probably will not forget it.
