Sales of cold brew coffee have increased by 80%, a significant increase in popularity with coffee drinkers in the US. With more and more states legalizing marijuana, it was only a matter of time before someone decided to combine CBD and cold brew coffee.
Launched in 2016, KickBack Cold Brew infuses CBD with their certified organic coffee, intended to provide a “functional chill” to consumers.
The beans are sourced from the rainforests in Central America, single-origin and shade grown for the best taste. Colorado hemp farmers provide the CBD, and it is lab tested for its purity.
KickBack Cold Brew was founded by Pierre Real and Omid Mousaei, and can be found in more than 35 stores in Southern California.
“Our cold brew is very smooth, it has a great coffee flavor and it doesn’t give consumers the excessive caffeine rush that regular cold brew typically gives,” said Real, when asked about the popularity of the product.
Coffee drinkers have been conditioned to accept jitters and nausea as normal, but Mousaei wants consumers to know that there’s an alternative. “We found the perfect balance of CBD and cold brew coffee in our recipe that gives coffee drinkers a more relaxed and energetic feeling that big name brand coffee can’t provide.”
CBD has been known to have many benefits including reducing anxiety, pain, and more. Combining it with coffee expands its uses beyond relaxation. There is no age requirement to drink the brew, but for those who don’t like coffee, KickBack is also working on a new line of CBD drinks that will include teas.
KickBack Cold Brew can be purchased through their website in singles or in cases of 12, but if you’re in the area, check out their store locator page.
