‘The High End’ at Barneys Beverly Hills brings luxury cannabis to a new level

The lush Beverly Hills outpost of Barneys, the high-end department store, is getting even higher with its latest offering—a fully licensed, in-store, luxury cannabis boutique called The High End. The store is on the fifth floor of Barneys and launches online on March 29 according to Barneys. They are also publishing on the Barneys blog, The Window, a series of articles by Thom Bettridge about the evolving landscape of cannabis in the luxury realm.

Unlike other mainstream retailers that have adopted cannabis-derived products that restrict themselves to CBD, this boutique-within-a-boutique is actually a fully licensed, adult-use cannabis dispensary providing products that contain THC.

The intimate space features marble tables and wall paneling. Barneys describes the concept shop as having a “sleek, ‘70s California minimal vibe”. The gold leaf-covered shelves are stocked with products from the cannabis brand Beboe, once called the ‘Hermes’ of weed by the New York Times. It will carry Beboe’s existing line, limited edition offerings, and luxury cannabis-infused dark chocolates from Défoncé, along with a custom strain by Sherbinskis. Additionally, they offer custom blown glass pieces, vintage ashtrays, and an extensive range of CBD beauty products.

“Barneys New York has always been at the forefront of shifts in culture and lifestyle, and cannabis is no exception,” said Barneys CEO Daniella Vitale in the announcement of The High End. “Many of our customers have made cannabis a part of their lifestyle, and The High End caters to their needs with extraordinary products and the service they experience in every facet of Barneys New York.”
