Francis Ford Coppola makes great movies, great wine, and now great cannabis?

Oscar-winning filmmaker and accomplished vintner Francis Ford Coppola is launching a limited-edition cannabis product to go with his wine. And, naturally, the goods come in a package designed to look like a wine bottle.

Called “The Growers Series,” the collection partners with Humboldt County, California growers to include three different strains: a sativa, an indica, and a hybrid. The cannabis will be organically grown and sold in California, where Coppola’s vineyards are also located.

It appears Coppola spent significant effort exploring the experience and science of his product, like any good vintner would with his wine.

“Wine and cannabis are two ancient and bounteous gifts of Mother Nature, linked by great care, terroir, and temperateness. Expertise making one applies to other,” Coppola said in a statement. Coppola has gone as far as to explore the diverse microclimates in which each strain is cultivated in Humboldt County and how they affect the cannabis.

“Each strain comes from a unique grower,” wrote High Times. “First, there’s a cerebral and bright sativa grown at Tan Oak Farms (elevation 1,700 feet), befitting the farm’s especially sunny climate. Closer to sea-level, at 600 feet, Benbow Farm provides a potent and relaxing indica. Finally, Salmon Creek Farm, poised high above the rest at 2,400 feet and a with cooler, wetter climate, contributes one of its “true hybrid” strains.”

Included in the unique packaging is a gram of each strain, a glass pipe, rolling papers, and three matchboxes.
