Touring the Grand Palace is Axim Biotechnologies, Inc. (OTC:AXIM) who announced on Tuesday an agreement to distribute CanChew+, a cannabinoid-based nutraceutical chewing gum throughout Thailand. The company signed a one-year non-exclusive agreement giving trademark and likeness rights to a distributor in the country while keeping sole ownership of the product. According to a statement, the deal calls for predefined financial obligations to be met by the distributor.
A busy year for Axim, in late January the company proclaimed their meeting with the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board a success having discussed its MedChew Rx clinical development program. Through the program, Axim throws their efforts behind treating Multiple Sclerosis patients suffering from pain and spasticity. Meanwhile, as Thailand becomes more open to cannabinoid-based products, Axim hopes to gain widespread acceptance of their cannabinoid-based pharmaceutical treatments across the country.
“We are happy to see the attention of a worldwide audience on our nutraceutical product line,” said CEO of AXIM Biotech George E. Anastassov. “This distribution agreement marks a significant milestone in AXIM’s international expansion and reach. Thailand is an important market for us and will represent our first major step toward establishing a brand presence in Asia.”
