Cannabis content creators celebrate 4/20 at TheWeedTube App launch party “green-tie” event
Cannabis content creators and industry influencers celebrated the launch of The WeedTube App over the 4/20 holiday, a new piece of companion technology to the marijuana video haven The WeedTube. The site, which launched in March of 2018, is the brainchild of co-founders Aaron Woodhead, Amanda Fox, Arend Richard, Brandon Ashburn, Danielle Johnston, Kelly DeLong, Mackenzie McCurry, Ryan Kornblatt, and Theodore Maly, who developed it in the wake of “YouTube cannabis marketing purge” last year.
The event was held at the historic Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles on the eve of 4/20. It was labeled a “gree-tie” event, the first cannabis event in the history of the hotel.
According to reports, TheWeedTube app launch featured a slew of demonstrations and presentations, including from the site’s co-founders. There were also performances by illusionist and former Ru Paul’s Drag Race competitor Laganja Estranja, high profile TheWeedTube creators 2 Girls 1 Bong, and more.
PotNetwork News had a chance to speak with the team behind TheWeedTube at the CHAMPS Expo in Las Vegas recently, to learn about the site’s quick rise to success.
“We created this safe harbor for everyone to come and everybody to upload and we have this great little community now for cannabis,” said Brandon Ashburn in an interview with PotNetwork News.
