Whether it’s for a hotel, airline, shopping or what have you, customers like rewards for demonstrating loyalty. The cannabis consumer is not any different and CannaSys, Inc. (OTCQB: MJTK) wants to provide the technology to make it happen.
CannaSys this week said that Synergy Holistic Health Center, Inc., aka “California Cannabis,” a licensed medical marijuana dispensary in Playa Vista, Los Angeles, is starting to use CannaSys’ loyalty product dubbed “BumpUp Rewards.” The dispensary celebrated its grand opening on, appropriately, 4-20.
BumpUp is a complete mobile marketing platform that provides insight into a customer’s spending patterns, allowing retailers to tailor deals for individual customers, including incentives and rewards in an effort to maximize customer retention and sales. The BumpUp app is available for iOS and Android devices.
The deal marks the initial foray into the California markets for Denver, Colorado-based CannaSys. A look at the California Cannabis website, shows the BumpUp app prominently displayed on the home page.
CannaSys says that Synergy is planning to expand its offering by implementing CitizenToke, a social deals application by CannaSys.
Elsewhere in California, CannaSys has partnered with San Diego-based Green Capital Ventures. The founders of the full-service consulting company also founded Gridiron Cannabis Coalition along with former NFL All-Pro tackle Kyle Turley. CannaSys plans to forge additional partnerships in California and rollout new products as cannabis adoption continues to increase across the state.
With the California cannabis market estimated at $10 billion, it’s a high priority for CannaSys, according to Michael Tew, the company’s chief executive officer. “As we look at the legislative cycle this year, California is a major focus for us in our product marketing and distribution efforts,” Tew commented in a statement announcing the deal with Synergy.
