Toothbrush? Check. Toothpaste? Check. Dental Cannatizer and Hemp Oil? Ch…What? While many companies are focusing their efforts on the medicinal benefits of the cannabis genus, AV1 Group (OTCPK:AVOP) is taking an approach that is pretty unique. The La Holla, California-based investment and holding company said on it entered an exclusive licensing agreement with Dent Group to begin producing the “Dental Cannatizer,” a dental cleansing tool, trumpeted to provide superior results due to design and integration of hemp oil infusing replacement cartridges.
Hemp oil is an aliment derived from compressing raw seeds of the hemp plant, more formally called Cannabis sativa. Chock full of minerals, proteins, polyunsaturated fatty acids, Omega-3 and Omega-6 and more, hemp oil is a good source of Vitamin E antioxidants. Hempseed oil is made from varieties of C. sativa with negligible amounts of THC, the psychoactive component in marijuana.
Health benefits of hemp oil include maintaining hormonal balance, lowering cholesterol, energizing the skin and protecting membrane that protects nerve cells, amongst other things. Because it has a blood-thinning capacity, hemp oil is also touted to help prevent varicose veins, but that should be kept in mind for people on anticoagulants.
Dent Group recently designed the Dual Jet Sanitizer Pro dental cleansing tool (we couldn’t find more info in a web search). The Dual Jet features replaceable liquid cartridge for delivering an array of solutions, including aseptic mouthwashes and gum health liquid supplements. The device utilizes increased water pressure to flush out bacteria, plaque and microscopic food particles where a toothbrush or dental floss doesn’t reach.
AV1 Group’s subsidiary, Marijuana Incubator Group, has signed an agreement to purchase the technology and rebrand it as the Dental Cannatizer. The plan is to use hemp oil as the liquid so a user can reap the antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits of hemp oil. The company says that it leaves teeth “absolutely sparkling,” while “allowing re-mineralization to occur naturally and organically with the restorative and medicinal qualities that hemp oil provides.”
It’s a razor-razor blade marketing model, where AV1 can drive sales from the initial purchase and then repeat sales of the replacement hemp infusion cartridges. AV1 says it will sell the unit directly to consumers, as well as targeting hotels that may want to add it as a perk for guests.
No details were released on when production is starting or when the Dental Cannatizer will be available to the public.
